I’ve published in the BMJ, and other updates

I was rather excited when my first article was published in the BMJ last month. The article isn’t about my research, but rather about my experience of having a colicky baby, and the difficulties associated with being heard and getting a correct diagnoses. You can read the article here:

β€œIt’s just a bit of colic,” they said

BMJ 2016; 354 doi: http://dx.doi.org/10.1136/bmj.i4195 (Published 17 August 2016)

I’ve also had another qualitative paper published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research (JMIR), and my full draft thesis has also been submitted to my supervisors. This also coincided with my daughter starting nursery, and I must admit I am feeling a little lost not having the PhD to work on; and neither my daughter to look after. However, I have put my head down, and I’m now applying for jobs and writing a paper. No rest for the wicked πŸ˜‰
